Day 36: Scattered

1. occurring or distributed over widely spaced and irregular intervals of time or space.
2. lacking orderly continuity.

My thoughts and emotions (and what seems like my entire life now) seem to be a good definition of scattered.  Now that I'm done with teaching for the summer I want to try and get my life back in order and really focus on loving myself.

I've made some goals for myself this summer.  One of which is to teach myself how to paint.  I've done quite a bit of drawing but not much painting and thought it was about time to try it.  Today, in one of my moments of feeling "scattered," I busted out my paints and thought, "Why not start today?"

This was the outcome:

Bliss!

Rivka and I found this outside Powell's and it brought joy to my heart. If you have not yet watched Sherlock, I highly recommend it.

Lamb Shawarma!

I met up with my good friend Alan and we went to the Japanese Garden. Below are my two favorite pictures from that day.

So I explained about the idea and he then told me that he needed to help me find my picture for today. So Jack, Kate, and I went for an adventure (walking to the park) to find something wet. After we found this picture, Jack told me it would have been easier if I had picked this word on a day when it rained. I couldn't disagree with me. :)

For those of you that don't know this about me, I HATE talking on the phone. If a phone call lasts more than five minutes, I start to feel irritated and just want to be doing something else. It's so bad that when I get a phone call it takes all my energy to not want to hit the ignore button. This is a really bad thing since I have a lot of friends that don't live near me and want to keep in contact. It's not that I don't want to talk to them, I just don't want to be on the phone. I'm trying to work on that so I'm not such a flaky friend.
